O2 Czech has ended the first quarter of 2017 with 222,000 TV subscribers for its IPTV and OTT service, which is a rise of 5% compared to the same quarter of 2016. There were an additional 34,000 subscribers at the end of the quarter and 255,000 active STBs. Its service, called Multi, also showed growth, and allows customers to watch TV on more than one set.
The number of viewers watching via the Internet and mobile apps also grew and reached 425,000 at the end of the quarter.
The group’s operating revenue for the quarter was $375 million, which was a rise of 2.1% compared to the same quarter in 2016.
