Dutch telco KPN has announced that public broadcaster NPO will switch its free-to-air DTT transmission to DVB-T2/HEVC. KPN has begun sending out new receivers to its customers, supplied by ZTE, which are also capable of receiving DVB-T signals, eliminating the need for simulcasting.
KPN is aiming to complete its switchover process by April 2019.
