Asus has announced its GeForce RTX 2070 graphics boards, which support the new Turing GPUs. There are seven cards. The ROG Strix has three versions, an overclocked one, an ‘Advanced’ one and a regular one each with dual HDMI 2.0b, dual DisplayPort 1.4 ports and a Type-C port. Memory is 8GB and there are three fans.
The Dual GeForce RTX 2070 has two fans with one HDMI, three DisplayPort 1.4 ports and a USB Type-C. The Turbo GeForce RTX 2070 has a single fan, one HDMI and dual DisplayPort outputs with a single USB Type-C.
Eyefactive of Germany has new ‘Taurus’ mutlitouch tables with 55″ (UltraHD or FullHD) and 65″ (UltraHD) LCDs and with 80 point touch from 3M Metal Mesh technology. Features include an integrated high end media player in a metal housing. The AppSuite is pre-installed and Apps can be downloaded, with Apps customisable via a CMS. The tables can recognise up to 12 different marker ids and marker objects are available from the firm.
We don’t normally cover broadcast equipment, but we noted that Grass Valley has launched a new T2 series of digital recorder/player solutions that can playback SD, HD, UltraHD or 4K DCI content with a range of different Codecs. Available in the Elite and Pro versions, the T2 4K Series supports 4K (UHD or DCI) content with single channel input or output, or with one record and two output channels simultaneously in HD/SD mode. Featuring a 7″ LCD touch screen display with jog/shuttle control for simple operation, the GUI is intended to enable operators to easily realise 3D video output, key fill output and quick playback of playlists.
Panasonic has now started shipping the PT-RQ22K that it showed to use at ISE earlier this year. (Panasonic Shows New Projectors, LCDs at ISE). The three chip model is a high end unit and features a dual laser phosphor light source. as well as a heat-resistant phosphor wheel. The company said that its existing unit in the same chassis size, the PT-RZ21K, has sold more than 500 units this year.
Panasonic has also started shipping the single chip DLP laser phosphor PT-RZ120 projector, which was also shown in Amsterdam.
RTI of Shakopee, Minnesota, USA, has developed a new driver for control of Samsung’s UltraHD 2018 TVs above the NU8 (and all QLED and Frame models) and some 2017 models over IP. The driver allows control of the digital tuner and integrated DirecTV interface. Volume can also be controlled.

Sony‘s new AF9 OLED TVs are now on sale in Europe at list prices for €2,999 (55″ KD-55AF9) and €3,999 (65″ KD-65AF9) (Sony Seeks Kando with New Master Series TVs)
In its Professional division, Sony’s VPL-FHZ120L and VPL-FHZ90L 3LCD laser phosphor projectors, which were shown at ISE, are now shipping in Europe and the company said that around 100 pre-orders have already been placed. (Sony Highlights Solutions in Projectors and Signage)
ViewSonic has started shipping in Europe three 144Hz VX58 series R1800 curved gaming monitors that it showed at CES (ViewSonic is Aggressive with UHD Home Cinema Pricing). The pricing is:
