NEC Eases Videowall Set-Up

NEC was showing the PX602UL (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 7): a laser-LED hybrid installation projector. The projector features UltraHD video processing and HDBaseT, DisplayPort, HDMI (x2), VGA, USB and RJ45 connections, as well as an OPS slot. As a solid-state model, it supports 360 deg projection and will last for about 20,000 hours. Originally scheduled to be launched in October, the date has now slipped to November or December.

A new display was the X46UN: a 46″ LCD screen for videowalls. It has a thermal management system that conducts heat upwards and out of the back of the unit. NFC technology enables Android smartphones (no current plans to extend to iOS/Windows Phone) to copy settings from one display to another, even while the products are turned off.

The 84″ X841UHD, which has been seen this year at ISE, the ECR and UKRC (Display Monitor Vol 21 Nos 7, 11 & 24). It is rated for 24/7 use. The display can reach 700 cd/m
