Albis-elcon has announced that the Brazilian service provider MultTV, has launched a new IPTV offering powered by its SceneGate 8073 STBs. The STB is sized 85 mm x 85 mm x 35 mm and features DLNA-based in-home media streaming and sharing and 1080p HD performance.
Thirteen telecommunication entrepreneurs make up MultTV and are working together with a goal to offer head-end sharing services and paid channels for all broadband providers in Brazil at a low monthly cost.
The SceneGate 8073 features system-on-a-chip technology that allows MultTV ISPs to deliver HTML5-based applications with an open API for integration with native- or browser-based middleware clients and applications. In supports both analogue and digital interfaces and can deliver multiple types of video, audio, and data transmissions and in future can expand its offering to include OTT services.
