More Spanish Viewers Choose IPTV

According to the Spanish regulatory authority CNMC, IPTV saw an almost 1 million rise in subscribers during the year to the end of March, bringing the total to 3.06 million. In the previous year it was 2.27 million. The number of DTH subscribers fell to 1.05 million from 1.55 million during the same period. Meanwhile cable TV saw growth from 1.16 million to 1.42 million viewers and web TV subscribers increased to 22,000 from 19,000. Overall, 5.75 million viewers subscribed to pay-TV.
