MMD has produced its largest UltraHD monitor yet: a 42.5″ desktop display with support for multiview.
Users can show up to four sources on the BDM4350UC screen at once using the picture-by-picture mode. This includes PCs, media players or even live camera feeds. Picture-in-picture, for two sources, is also supported.
Various picture modes can be selected by the user, such as Film, Game, Office and Photo. Philips calls this ‘SmartImage’. The LED backlight is flicker-free.
An IPS panel with 178° viewing angles, a 60Hz refresh rate and 10-bit colour support is used. Contrast ratio is 1,200:1 and response time is 5ms (g2g). The display reaches 300 cd/m², with brightness uniformity of 96% – 105% and a Delta E of <3.
DisplayPort (x2), HDMI 2.0 (x2, with MHL), VGA and USB 3.0 (x4) ports are featured, as well as two 7W speakers.
MMD will begin to sell the BDM4350UC in May, for £935 ex VAT.
