CJ 4DPLEX has teamed up with Paramount Pictures to showcase Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One in two formats: ScreenX and 4DX. The Tom Cruise action-packed summer blockbuster, from Paramount Pictures, will be released on July 12, 2023.
ScreenX offers viewers a display across dual-sided panoramic screens spanning 270 degrees. Working closely with Tom Cruise, Christopher McQuarrie, and Paramount Pictures, CJ 4DPLEX has created exclusive story-enhancing scenes for the ScreenX version, totaling over 55 minutes of unique content. There are over 359 ScreenX auditoriums worldwide.
ScreenX is a premium film format developed by CJ 4DPLEX that enhances the movie theater experience by expanding the visual content beyond the traditional front screen. It achieves this by using a multi-projection system that extends the movie scenes onto the side walls of the theater, creating a panoramic display that spans 270 degrees. This immersive format aims to envelop the audience in the film, providing a more captivating and engaging viewing experience.
With ScreenX, viewers can enjoy an expanded field of view, allowing them to feel more immersed in the on-screen action. The format is especially effective for films with wide landscapes, dynamic action sequences, and visually stunning cinematography. By extending the content onto the side screens, ScreenX enhances the sense of depth and scale, making the viewing experience more immersive and visually stimulating.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will also debut in CJ 4DPLEX’s e4DX auditoriums. This premium format uses over 21 unique motion and environmental effects, such as vibration, water, wind, snow, lightning, and scents.
In a 4DX auditorium, viewers can expect a range of sensory enhancements synchronized with the action on the screen. These enhancements include motion seats that move in sync with the on-screen movement, creating a sensation of being part of the action. The seats can tilt, sway, and vibrate, enhancing the feeling of speed, impact, or flight. These effects are precisely timed and coordinated with the events happening in the film, intensifying the viewing experience and making it more immersive and realistic. There are over 787 4DX screens worldwide.
