Mediatek plans to be one of the first companies to get to us 10nm processes for its chips and in the conference call around the Q3 results, the company said that the Helio X30 will be the first and will be aimed at smartphones in the $300 to $450 range, especially in the Chinese market. The chip, to be made by TSMC, will be available in Q2 2017. The company also said that supply is likely to remain tight, and that it will ship aroun 135 to 145 million chips for phones and tablets in Q4, with Helio at 20%.
