Apple Granted Patent for Flexible Phones

PatentlyApple has posted news of a US patent (9,485,862) granted to Apple that was apparently filed under the name of an Apple engineer until granting, so that it remained ‘under the radar’. The patent covers a foldable phone that uses carbon nanotube-based materials for some of the flexible structures.

Analyst Comment

Of course, just because Apple has a patent, it doesn’t mean that it has plans, although it is inconceivable that Apple has not looked hard at this concept. (BR)
