Mediatek has added a new SoC to its Pentonic line for premium 4K HDR 120Hz TVs with support for up to 144Hz using VRR. The device features:
- hardware-based decoding of HEVC, AV1, AVS4 and VVC(H.266)
- Dolby Vision and Atmos
- Integrated voice assistant
- Functions to allow 8 views on a 4K |TV for multi-angles and multi-window applications
- An AI engine with Super Resolution 2.0, AI-Picture Quality Scene Recognition 2.0 and AI-Picture Quality Object Recognition 3.0 with’ depth and richer PQ enhancement’
- Wi-Fi 6 at up to 48Gbps
- 4 HDMI 2.1 support
- Arm Cortex-A73 with Arm Mali-G57 MC2

Mediatek has already got the Pentonic 700 in its range for more mainstream UltraHD sets. MediaTek Launches Pentonic 700 Chipset for Premium 120Hz 4K Smart TVs.
