The Metro Group has divided, splitting consumer electronics from the food and wholesale business. While the food and wholesale side will continue to be called Metro, the consumer electronics holding division has renamed itself Ceconomy AG. Ceconomy includes MediaMarkt and Saturn and will be headed by CEO Pieter Haas, who was previously on the Metro AG board.
