BOE Formalises Second G10.5 Plan

BOE has formally announced its plan to build a second 10.5G line in Wuhan, China. The plant will start construction in Q4 of this year and will take up to two years to come into production and will be planned to have a capacity of 120,000 substrates per month (which would allow for the production of just under a million 65″ TV panels). The company is currently building a G10.5 in Hefei, China, that is expected to start production at the end of this year

The investment will be made with the regional government, which will invest $3 billion, while BOE commits to $900 million of investment in the first round of $3.9 billion, with an expected end investment of $6.9 billion.
