The SceneGate 8073 is an entry-level OTT and IPTV set-top box (STB) from Albis (hall 14, stand C04 and C15). The 85 x 85 x 35mm box supports 1920 x 1080 content and functions such as HTML5 apps and DLNA streaming. It is being positioned as a second-room STB.
The Icue-Playout streaming server, from Teracue eyevis GmbH, is capable of handling up to 4 synchronised UltraHD streams at once – or 16 streams at 1920 x 1080 resolution, with 50fps or 60fps. Taking two rack spaces, the server is designed for use with IPTV channels, digital signage and IP-based videowalls. Content can be looped or scheduled into signage players. 24/7 operation is supported, 365 days a year. It will be shown on Eyevis’ stand (B24) in hall 9.
Chinese set-top box manufacturer Shenzhen SDMC Technology (hall 14, stand C07) will showcase a live demonstration of an HEVC, UltraHD OTT STB. The DV7819 uses an interactive solution from Beenius and Minerva’s TV platform, running on a quad-core 2GHz ARM CPU. It will support Airplay, Miracast and DLNA. DVB-S2, DVB-T2 and DVB-C hybrid boxes will also be displayed. SDMC will focus on signing new partners at the show.
