LGD Suffering with Low Flexible OLED Yields

We have seen reports online, quoting CLSA, the investment firm as a source, that LG has lost a potential order from Xiaomi for three million OLEDs for smartphones. The reason is said to be very low yields at the E5 flexible OLED line which has been delayed in coming to full production and is suffering from a yield that may be as low as 10%. The report also said that LG Display planned to supply the displays for the V30 phone (released at IFA) using the E5 line, but the E2 G4.5 line will be used instead, although it is less efficient.
