Leyard and Planar Displays Installed in $250m Bel Air Mansion

Bruce Makowsky, founder of BAM Luxury Development, has built the United States’ most expensive home, listed at $250 million, in collaboration with Leyard and Planar.

The 38,000m² four-storey mansion incorporates some pretty spectacular home entertainment fixtures, including a 4×4 Clarity Matrix High Bright LCD Video Wall fitted to a hydraulic lift. With the simple flick of a switch, the screen rises up behind the 85′ (26m) infinity pool. Speaking about the installation of the extravagant display, Makowsky said:

“We dug down 25′ (7.6m) into the ground to engineer the spiral lift system. The resolution of the screen is perfect during the day, and at night it transforms the deck environment into an amazing outdoor theatre”.

Elsewhere in the home, a 7′ (2,2m) high Planar DirectLight LED Video Wall System has been fitted in the 22-seater bar area, and a total of 56 Planar UltraRes Series 98″ Ultra HD LCD displays are installed throughout the mansion’s interior.

I need to show this to my wife so that she understands how modest my big display requirements are! (BR)
