We were impressed with the latest version of the Leap Motion hand tracking technology when we saw it in a training application on the HTC Vive Pro at CES (HTC Vive Pro Matches Visuals of Samsung Odyssey).
The company’s VP of Design, Keiichi Matsuda, has pasted a video that has a very good illustration of how the firm’s technology can be used to add augmented reality functions to the hands.
Matsuda has been interested in AR for some time and we enjoyed the video that he made more than eight years ago as part of his masters study. While the result might be somewhat overwhelming, the understanding of how AR could work is interesting. A more recent one is below and is worth the several minutes of viewing.
