Asus‘s Designo MX34VQ monitor (Asus is Firmly in Phablets) has a wireless charging pad on the stand, using the Qi standard. Apologies, we missed this when the monitor was announced.

BenQ will reveal a new 27″ gaming monitor, under its Zowie brand, at Dreamhack Summer 2016 (18th – 20th June, Jönköping, Sweden). It will be called the XL2735. However, ‘as numbers and specs do not tell the whole story’, the firm has not released any other information yet!

Image: MekoHP has begun to ship its Spectre x360 convertible OLED laptop (Digital Experience Has Lots to See). It is 13.3″ and weighs 50g less than the LCD model. Prices start at $1,500 and early reviews of the OLED display have been positive.

Amazon has listed LG‘s 77″ Signature G6 OLED TV, with a price of $27,223 but no release date. LG UK told us that the price would be £25,000 (£20,000 ($28,300) ex VAT).

In addition, LG has announced that its dual view (double-sided) flat OLED displays, for signage, will be launched next month. They are 55″, with 1920 x 1080 resolution, and called the 55EH5C. 65″ curved UltraHD versions have been shown in the past, but a release date has not been shared.

Panasonic has released an update for its CX800 and CR850 TVs, which were launched last year. The update adds HDR support for HDMI content, but not streamed content yet. Users must download the software to a PC, transfer it to a USB stick and install it from there, as Panasonic has not released an over-the-air version yet.
