RoadtoVR reported on a recent demo by Kopin of its latest OLED display at AWE 2022 and also highlighted the pancake optics that the firm has been developing. Kopin’s P95 pancake optic has just a 17mm distance between the display and lens, along with a 95° field-of-view. The display shown was the 1.3″ device with 2560 x 2650 format and 10 bit colour with up to 120Hz support.
What We Think
I was disappointed I couldn’t get to the AWE Expo this year. It’s a great event for XR and has often in the past been in the week between Display Week and Infocomm and I have been able to attend. (BR)
