Korean sources are suggesting that Skyworth, the Chinese TV company, may be buying some OLED TV panels from BOE and showed the sets at the Shenzen High Tech Fair. Skyworth plans to use the Metz brand to supply OLED sets in Europe (Metz Begins OLED TV Production). Earlier this year we reported that BOE was “The only other company (to LG) with serious plans in the large-area OLED space”. (Flexible Will be Fastest-Growing OLED Segment to 2018) BOE has a small pilot line and gave an award to OLED material supplier, UDC, earlier this year. (BOE Names UDC as Top Supplier).
