Intel said that the Voke VR platfrom will be used to show the work of designers at New York Fashion Week on virtual reality headsets. A live stream will be run on Intel Xeon servers for Google Cardboard or Gear VR headsets. A separate 2D stream will be available for those without headsets.
Viewers will be able to access the 3D VOKE VR stream by downloading Voke’s GearVR app from the Oculus store to use with a Samsung Gear VR headset or by selecting the Google Cardboard feature in A&E’s iOS and Android apps. Video-on-demand content will be available in the Voke and A&E apps for those who are unable to watch it live.
The event will air live at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 11 on A&E.
