Dutch tech publication LetsGoDigital has revealed that HTC has registered ” Vive Focus” as a new trademark in the US and EU for a product.
It is believed that the new trademark refers to the standalone VR headset that HTC announced it was developing at the Google I/O developer conference earlier this year.
HTC hasn’t yet commented on the leak, but with the holiday season fast approaching, the company is expected to make an official announcement in the coming weeks.
At this year’s Google I/O conference, HTC and Lenovo announced the development of standalone VR headsets utilising the Daydream platform. Both products are expected to release in 2017. (Google To Develop Stand-Alone VR Headset)
