HP Extends Premium PC Leadership with Amazing Innovations

HP has updated its Spectre x360 range, its EliteBook x360 and added a new EliteDisplay E243d Docking monitor.

The E243d monitor has a webcam, a gigabit ethernet port and supports 65W of power delivery for charging connected devices. It’s a FullHD 23.8″ IPS monitor with 7ms response and 250 cd/m² of output. Inputs are HDMI 1.4 and VGA as well as USB Type-C. There is a dual array microphone and the monitor can be used in portrait or landscape modes. The price will be $329 (compared with $139 for the non-docking version).

HP claims that the HP Spectre x360 13 delivers the world’s longest battery life in a quad-core convertible and gigabit-class 4G LTE system and claims up to 22.5 hours. The x360 13 and x360 15 both have UltraHD IPS displays with Gorilla Glass. Weight of the x360 13 is 1.29kg and the device is 13.6mm. Features include dual USB-Type C Thunderbolt ports.

The HP EliteBook x360 1040 G5 is claimed as the smallest and lightest 14″ business convertible (and aimed at the Lenovo X1 Carbon). There are FullHD and UltraHD displays with options for a privacy screen. Features include brightness up to 700 cd/m² and the lower brightness versions have 400 cd/m² and all have Gorilla Glass 5 and 100% sRGB. Options include:

  • UltraHD 500 cd/m²
  • FullHD with SureView privacy and 700 cd/m²
  • FullHD 400 cd/m²
  • FullHD 400 cd/m² with bonded touch
