Following the news that Lenovo is developing a laptop with a foldable OLED display in collaboration with LG, Samsung has announced that it is making a similar product. According to various reports, Samsung VP of PC Marketing Lee Min-cheol commented:
“Like foldable smartphones, Samsung is collaborating with display makers to develop laptops with foldable displays that will not just simply fold in and out but create new value and user experience, amid the changing market trends for laptops”.
Samsung has been at the forefront of foldable display applications for some time, ever since it began developing a foldable smartphone. More recently, other companies have begun to follow suit, including Lenovo and Huawei.
