We heard that the first HDMI 2.1 cables are becoming available from Apple. The Ultra High Speed HDMI cable costs $29.95 and supports up to 48 Gbps.
Analyst Comment
HDMI 2.1 supports the same shape connectors as earlier versions, but the cable has been upgraded. One of the new features in 2.1 will be adaptive frame rates (like FreeSync or G-Sync) and Microsoft is expected to support this with the XBox One X. One of the other features is support for dynamic metadata for HDR. (BR)
