Google’s Chief Business Officer Robert Kyncl stated in an interview with French financial magazine Les Echos that YouTube Red, the company’s subscription video-on-demand service, will launch internationally later this year.
YouTube Red is currently only available in the US and offers all YouTube music and video content free of ads for a fee of $10 per month, as well as its own range of original content.
Kyncl said that the company will continue to invest in the platform’s most popular talent, which has so far increased the average audience count by 30%.
