Eyeviz Hopes for Projection to Continue

Eyeviz has recently been acquired by Leyard, but was at the show to highlight its simulation projector. Staff told us that this is a solid business and they hope it will continue under the new ownership (although, as far as I know, Leyard doesn’t do anything else in the projection field – Man. Ed.) At ITEC, the company was showing a new version of the ESP-2120 projector which uses LED light sources and can support up to 120Hz operation. On the last model, maximum brightness was 1,000 lumens, but that has now been upgraded to 2,000, with 3,000 lumens ‘in planning’. The single DLP engine has special autocolour correction to make set up and adjustment very easy during the lifetime and there are special optical lenses with ‘dual focus’ and variable focal lengths to cope with different screen configurations and shapes.

Eyeviz was sharing the booth with warping/blending company, Scalable Displays, and was using its own optical blending solution in the booth.
