Two new narrow-bezel video wall displays have been introduced by Eyevis, in the EYE-LCD range. The 55″ EYE-LCD-5500-XSN-LD-FX-700 has a 3.5mm bezel and 700 cd/m² of brightness, while the fanless 47″ EYE-LCD-4700-USN-LD-FX has a 4.9mm bezel and 450 cd/m².
Both new displays are intended to be cost-efficient products with high-quality image reproduction. They consume 140W on average, can show 10-bit colour and feature a direct-LED backlight. Additionally they can be fitted with an IR overlay to enable touch operation (up to 32 points).
Supporting use in control rooms and similar applications, Eyevis has built a ‘non-stick mode’ into the new EYE-LCD units, to counteract the effects of image burn. Using pixel-shift technology and dynamic pixel refreshing, the screens can be used 24/7.
Aside from size and brightness, the units are identical. They have 1920 x 1080 resolution, with a 1,200:1 contrast ratio, 12ms response time and 178° viewing angles. An OPS slot is optional, and they feature DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-I and RS232 connections.
Both the 55″ and 47″ displays can be purchased now.
