Toshiba’s new TD-E signage display series is a lower-cost alternative to the TD-Z series. Unlike the TD-Z products, which can run 24/7, the TD-E screens are rated for 16/7 usage and do not feature DVI chaining (because they don’t have a DVI port!).
A 40″ unit was on show at Toshiba’s stand, but there will also be a 50″ when the TD-E series is launched this year. Both will have 1920 x 1080 resolution, HDMI and RS232 inputs and an OPS slot.
With the TD-E series and new TD-X (videowall) displays, Toshiba now offers a full range of commercial products. Two products are part of the TD-X line: the TD-X551M (500 cd/m
