Eutelsat said that its location of 7/8° West has now reached 56 million homes in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The company claims to have reach to 56.2 million homes in 14 Arab countries,up 3.1 million homes in one year. The location has 1,200 Arabic and international channels and 55% of channels are exclusive. 179 channels on the platform are now supporting HD (15% of channels).
HD homes in MENA are now up to 28.2 million, up from 17.7 million a year ago and 46% of TV homes but this rises to 66% in the Eutelsat/Nilesat 7/8° West neighbourhood.
