There is now a permanent VR facility in the 13th arrondissement, called the mk2 VR facility that is available to consumers for a charge of €12 for 20 minutes or €20 for 40 minutes. The company that runs the facility hopes to expand to other locations. Hardware is PC-based commercial facilities and the operator is looking for partners around Europe and in the US. It is said to be the largest permanent location for VR in Europe.

I was especially impressed with the flying simulator that has ‘wings’ that can be used to fly higher! The design of the facility is deliberately not like a gaming area as the company also sees VR as an opportunity for excercise, art and other activities. (BR)
