Visionect said that the eStop, designed for bus stops, has been made available for purchase after successful trials in Sydney, Australia. The display is available as a single or dual display and is powered by solar energy, so no power supply is needed and the unit is updated by 3G or Wi-Fi. The internal battery can support the sign for 30 days without solar charging. The sign is waterproof (IP67) and is claimed to be tamper-proof (it is fitted with 6mm safety glass).
The single display is a 13.3″ module with 1600 x 1200 resolution and 16 levels of greyscale.
The eStop single costs €4,499 and is available for pre-order.
