Irico Display Requests Immunity from Price-Fixing Lawsuit

There’s been a new development in the long-running litigation over the alleged conspiracy to fix the price of cathode ray tubes (CRT).

Earlier this month, Chinese firm Irico and its subsidiary Irico Display Devices requested the California federal court to agree that they be exempt from further proceedings, granted sovereign immunity as they are controlled by the Chinese state.

In May, allegations against Toshiba were dropped by litigant Marta Cooperative of America.
