Kyulux Improves its Blue HF Emitter

Kyulux of Japan has reported that it has improved the performance of its blue materials using hyperfluoresence which now can achieve up to 26% EQE and 22% at 1,000 cd/m² with a wavelength of 470 nm. Lifetime has been improved and the company said that it is achieving LT95 of 100 hours at 750 cd/m².

Analyst Comment

Cynora, which is developing TADF, has previously said that the requirement from device makers is for at least 20% EQE with LT97 of 50 or 100 hours (BC22 Cynora Still Heading for Commercialisation). It looks as though Kyulux is getting to that level, but is not quite at the required colour yet. We originally reported that “Cynora suggested a CieY of 0.14, while the Kyulux material is 0.124.” however, this was pointed out as incorrect – apologies for that mistake! (BR)
