Eizo Keeps ‘Almost-Square’ Alive

Eizo’s S1934 is an ‘almost-square’ 5:4 19″ monitor, for offices and control rooms requiring this more traditional format.

Billed as the successor to the S1933, the monitor is in fact almost identical to this older model; the only major difference being the addition of a DisplayPort input. A low blue light mode, known as ‘Paper’, is also available as a preset, and power consumption has been lowered to 9W – about a 25% reduction.

An IPS panel (1280 x 1024) provides the monitor with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 178° viewing angles and a 14ms (G2G) response time. Brightness is 250 cd/m². VGA and DVI-D inputs are featured, alongside the DisplayPort interface.

Like the S1933, the S1934 has two ergonomic stand options; one with tilt only, and one with height adjustability. Both can be tilted (-5° – 30°), while the latter stand can also be swivelled 70°, pivoted 90° and raised/lowered 100mm. Lifetime is rated at 30,000 hours.

The monitor will be available in Europe in August.
