This week we are highlighting LCD Public Displays in the 46″ Full HD category covering sizes 43.5″ to 48.49″ with 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are nine brands featured in the advertising. Samsung is at the top of the PageShare for the combined three major countries, NEC Displays is second and LG is third. The ranking is the same in the UK. In France and Germany, Samsung leads followed by Philips in second and LG in third.
Over the three countries, Samsung takes the top two positions with the UD46C and the ME46C followed by NEC Displays’ MultiSync E464 in third. In France, Philips takes the top two positions with the BDL4678XL and the BDL4651VH with Samsung’s UD46C in third. In Germany, Samsung takes all three positions with the ME46C, the UD46C and the PE46C. In the UK, the three leading models were NEC Displays’ MultiSync E464, Samsung’s UD46C and Samsung’s ME46C.
The average dollar price was down 11% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was down 8% YoY, while in Germany it was down 18% and in the UK it was down 4%. The minimum price in October for a 46″ Full HD LCD Public Display was $683.27 excluding tax.
