This week we are highlighting LCD monitors in the 22″ wide category covering 16:10 models with resolution of 1680 x 1050. There are 12 brands featured in the advertising with Philips, Iiyama and NEC Displays the top three advertised brands across all three countries. The ranking is the same in the UK. In France, Philips leads with Iiyama and NEC Displays in joint second and in Germany, AOC, Iiyama and NEC Displays are joint top.
Over the three countries, Iiyama’s B2280WSD is top followed by NEC Displays’ MultiSync EA223WM in second and Iiyama’s ProLite E2280WSD in third. In France, NEC Displays’ MultiSync EA223WM leads followed by Iiyama’s ProLite B2280WDS in second and Acer’s V226WLbmd in third. In Germany, Iiyama’s ProLite B2280WSD is top followed by Fujitsu’s B22W-7 LED in second and Eizo’s FlexScan EV2216WFS-BK in third. In the UK, the top three models were Iiyama’s ProLite B2280WSD, NEC Displays’ MultiSync EA223WM and Iiyama’s ProLite EA2280WSD.
The average dollar price was down 16% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was down by 21%, while in Germany it was down 23% and in the UK it was down by 15%. The minimum price in April for a 22″ wide LCD monitor was $118.87 + tax.
