This week we are highlighting LCD monitors in the 19″ wide category, covering both 16:10 and 16:9 models and sizes from 18″ wide to 19.9″ wide. There are 14 brands featured in the advertising. Acer is at the top of the PageShare for the combined three major countries, AOC is second and Philips is third. In France, Acer is top followed by Philips in second and AOC in third. In Germany, Dell leads followed by AOC in second and Asus in third, while in the UK, Acer is top followed by AOC in second and Hannspree in third.
Over the three countries, Asus takes the top position of the PageShare with the VS197D followed by AOC’s E950Swda in second and Dell’s E1913 in third. In France, Asus’ VS197D is top followed by Acer’s V196WLBmd in second and BenQ’s GL955A in third. In Germany, Dell is top with the E1913 with the Asus VS197D in second and AOC’s e960PDa in third and in the UK, the top three models were AOC’s E950Swda, AOC’s E970Swn and Lenovo’s ThinkVision LT1952p.
The average dollar price was up 1% from to February to March and YoY (year on year) was down by 14% over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was down 20% YoY, while in Germany it was down 17% and in the UK it was down by 11%. The minimum price in March for a 19″ Wide LCD monitor was $61.02 excluding tax.
