DVIGear Supports High-Res Multiview

DVIGear has expanded its switching and scaling portfolio with the DVI-3580a, an UltraHD multiviewer switcher/scaler. The unit can accept up to seven video inputs: HDMI or DVI (x4), DisplayPort (x2) and VGA.

Input formats up to UltraHD at 60fps are supported. An internal scaling engine means that users can scale the output to their desired resolution, up to UltraHD at 30fps over four displays. The input signal is routed to two mirrored outputs: HDMI and HDBaseT (the latter is PowerOverHDBaseT [PoH] compliant, so a compatible receiver can be powered from the switcher). The HDBaseT output can carry video up to 70m (1920 x 1080) or 40m (UltraHD).

Audio embedded and de-embedded audio outputs are featured. Each video input is coupled with an analogue stereo audio input connection, and the unit can output audio over HDMI/HDBaseT, 8-channel analogue audio or TOSLINK optical audio. Lip-sync correction (user-adjustable) is also provided.

EDID management is built in, and the unit can be controlled remotely over RJ45 or RS232, or locally via IR remote or the front panel.

DVIGear is selling the DVI-3580a now, for $2,200.
