The DTG in the UK has announced a restructure under which will see George Robertson taking the job of Chief Technologist, after CTO, Simon Gauntlett has decided to leave DTG to join Dolby as director of imaging standards and technology.
Peter Sellar, who has been at the DTG since 2012, will take the role of associate director, broadcast to focus on broadcast and hybrid activity while David Daniels, formerly of Sky, will be leading on UHD and VR activity.
Ian Mecklenburgh, will lead IP activity as a special advisor; long-standing principal RF engineer Alex Buchan, will lead the DTG’s PMSE initiative; while Ian Medland, head of technical development, and Ranjeet Kaur, head of product testing, will continue to work on the DTG’s testing activity.
