LG has finally re-released the Dolby Vision software update for its UP970 Blu-ray player, over six months after it was originally released. (Dolby Vision Firmware Update for LG UP970 Blu-ray Player Now Available)
The update was subsequently pulled following a spate of issues including raised black levels. The player is now capable of outputting Blu-ray discs in Dolby Vision, as well as YouTube and Netflix content.
