Dimenco Displays has revealed the Dimesa 8, the world’s first 8K 3D processing board.
By calculating every individual sub-pixel in real time, Dimesa 8 is designed to create the most natural, engaging 3D viewing experience to date, without the need for glasses.
The new Dimesa 8 board will support Dimenco’s Simulated Reality technology and upcoming range of 8K displays. It processes 3D imagery in real time and features five Altera FPGA programmable chips. The Dimesa 8 processes data for every single red, green and blue sub-pixel, dynamically calculating in real time which eye it hits. These different images merge into a single 3D image, eliminating the need for glasses. The technology is intended to offer wide viewing angles and close viewing distances.
The Dimesa 8 platform is currently in the final stages of production. In addition to being incorporated into the company’s own 3D displays, the board will be sold as a standalone product. Dimenco will soon launch 32” and 65” 8K products based on the Dimesa 8.
