According to a new report by, Die Medienanstalten, an aggregate of Germany’s media authorities, over 90% of the country’s households have done away with analogue TV altogether.
The number of households viewing analogue television has plummeted by a million over the last year, down to 1.8 million.
Meanwhile, the number of households viewing digital television has increased to 36.5 million. 1.4 million of those are running both digital and analogue TV signals into their homes.
Most interestingly, 91.7% of households are now digital-only, suggesting that a full digital switch-over could be on the cards.
