Digital Projection has released the E-Vision Laser 5000 projector which is a laser phosphor DLP unit with 5,000 Ansi, 5,500 ISO Lumens and using a 0.67″ DarkChip DMD and an RGBY colour wheel. The resolution is 1920 x 1200 and contrast is quoted at 20,000:1 (dynamic) and the lens has manual zoom and focus with 1.15 -1.9:1 zoom and 15% offset.
Inputs include Dual HDMI 1.4a along with an HDMI/MHL as well as HDBaseT, VGA and Composite video. Features include RJ45 (shared with HDBaseT) , RS-232C, USB and 3D Sync out. Dicom simulation is supported for clinical review.
The unit is rated for 24/7 operation and it is flexible in mounting, while the light source is rated at 20,000 hours. Normal mode noise is 36dBA (typical) and 29 dBA (minimum).
