International sales, marketing and support services group DCC, parent company of AV distributor Exertis, has announced its acquisition of Stampede, a professional AV distributor with offices in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia.
According to DCC, the company provides a global network of 20,000 resellers with a range of integrated AV and IT solutions from more than 150 vendor partners. DCC Technology MD Tim Griffin commented:
“By establishing a presence in North America, we will be strategically positioned to leverage all of the new opportunities we expect to develop as a result of this acquisition”.
Stampede currently employs approximately 210 people around the world, more than 80 of whom are based at the company’s headquarters in Massachusetts, United States. In addition, through its subsidiary Just Lamps, the company also offers a selection of replacement projector lamps. President and CEO Kevin Kelly said:
