Comcast Sees Subscriber Rise in First Quarter of 2017

Comcast results for the first quarter of 2017, show that cable customers increased by 10% compared to the same quarter last year, and the customer base increased by 297,000 to 28.9 million. Residential customer increased by 263,000, primarily driven by increases in double and single product customers, and business customers increased by 34,000.

Also, 70.7% of residential customers were using Comcast’s double, triple or quad-play products and total video customer were up by 42,000. The number of high-speed Internet customer increased by 429,000, but voice customer fell by 5,000. There were also additions of 66,000 customers for Comcast’s total security and automation package.
