It has been confirmed that the new SkyQ UltraHD STB will be based around MediaHighway middleware from Cisco and will include a MaxLinear MxL5x2 satellite receiver and EN5520 Channel Stacking IC. The receiver can tune and demodulate up to 12 satellite channels for recording and in-home distribution. The EN5520 will be used in systems for multi-dwelling apartments and commercial installations.
