Christie 3 Chip Projector Uses Red & Blue Lasers

Christie previewed the Crimson 3 DLP BoldColor Laser Phosphor projector at ISE and launched it officially at LDI 2017. The projector produces 22,300 ANSI (25,000 ISO) in its 1920 x 1200 version (WU25) or 20,000 ANSI (23,300 ISO) in its FullHD version (HD25). Contrast is 2,000:1 and other specifications are the same for both.

The BoldColor technology uses red and blue lasers which improves colour performance, compared to blue lasers only.

Features include dual 12GSDI inputs, HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2, HDBaseT and Christie Link (QSFP + Fibre). Optional inputs include Dual Link DVI, Dual 3G, Dual DisplayPort and Dual HDMI inputs.

The lenses are variable and from the ILS M/J Series and can support throw ratios from 0.38:1 (UST) to 6.9-10.4:1. Weight is 165lbs (74.8 kg)

The products will ship from February 2018.
