Crystal Display Systems LTD (CDS) of the UK and a value-added reseller of flat panel display solutions, has launched a new transparent technology based on a transparent LCD sandwiched on top of a high brightness LCD to give an impression of depth. The concept is intended for retail and other areas where high impact is wanted and is already being shown at the Harris Innovation Center in Florida USA.
The technology is called the ‘ClearVue 3DP’ and uses a 2,000 cd/m² 48″ panel at the back and with a panel with matched polarisation that is 180mm in front of the rear one.
