The Burkina Faso agency responsible for DTT channel rollout, Société burkinabè de télédiffusion (SBT), has announced a multi-year agreement for satellite capacity with Eutelsat. The country already has 20 digital channels and the new contract is expected to speed up analogue switch-off. The satellite system will be used for the backhaul of the DTT content.
